This policy describes the information used by the OWNAL Gym prelaunch website. Contact admin@ownalgym.com with questions or requests.
Information you choose to share
If launch-list registration is enabled and you sign up, we store your email address, product interests, consent, and registration time. We use these details to send the launch updates you requested. Signing up is optional and is not an order.
Security and hosting
The website is designed to run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes connection and security information to deliver the site and defend against abuse. The signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile; its security checks may process browser and device signals. Our API uses a short-lived, salted hash of the connecting IP address for request limits rather than storing the raw IP in the signup database. Infrastructure providers may process additional security logs under their own policies.
Payments
No live payments are accepted at this stage. When payments open, Stripe will process card and payment information on its hosted checkout. OWNAL’s records will contain order references, amounts, payment status, necessary contact details, and relevant terms versions. OWNAL will not store your card number or security code. Shipping, tax, seller, and payment notices will be updated before live checkout opens.
Marketing and tracking
We do not use advertising trackers. We request launch-email consent separately from any future purchase. The site does not require a customer account. Necessary security services may use browser storage or cookies.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell launch-list details. We use service providers for hosting, security, and, when enabled, payment processing. We retain launch-list entries until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or we discontinue the list. Expired request-limit records are removed during periodic cleanup. Future transaction records will be retained as necessary for accounting, refunds, and applicable obligations.
Your choices
To unsubscribe, request access, correct information, or request deletion, email admin@ownalgym.com from the address involved. We may need to verify that you control the address. We will retain information where necessary to meet legal obligations.
Before paid launch
The operating seller’s legal identity and business address will be published before paid checkout is enabled. This policy will be revised when the live store’s services and sale terms are confirmed.
OWNAL app and Garmin Connect
Updated October 27, 2026. This section applies to OWNAL's Garmin connection service and takes precedence over the prelaunch-website-only description above for Garmin data. Garmin account linking and data synchronization are not yet enabled for users. The public callback is being prepared; it does not by itself connect an account or import activity or wellness records.
Your account and consent
Each user connects their own Garmin Connect account after explicitly choosing to do so. A connection is associated with that user's private OWNAL profile and the initiating device. Using a shared trainer does not give other household members access to your Garmin account or records. We request only the Garmin permissions needed for features you choose. Sending supported workout plans to Garmin requires your separate action.
Data and purpose
When account linking is enabled, OWNAL will process the Garmin account identifier, granted permissions, authorization credentials, and the activity or wellness information needed for your selected features. The purposes are to show your own activity and wellness context alongside your OWNAL workout history, confirm supported Garmin synchronization, and deliver supported workout plans you request. We do not sell Garmin data, disclose it for advertising, pool it into other users' profiles, or publish it to other users.
Service providers
Garmin handles Garmin account sign-in, consent, and its API services. Cloudflare hosts the OWNAL connection service, receives its HTTPS callbacks, and provides security and storage used by that service. These providers process information needed to operate the service; this is distinct from sharing your records with other OWNAL users. OWNAL does not send Garmin data to Stripe, launch-email services, or advertising providers. We will update this policy before adding another processor of Garmin data.
Security and retention
The connection service is designed to validate a short-lived, single-use authorization session for the exact user and device, keep the application secret on the server, and encrypt authorization credentials in storage. Unfinished link sessions expire after 10 minutes and are removed by automated expiry cleanup. Once enabled, active credentials will be retained only while needed for your connection. When a disconnection succeeds, the service removes its active stored credentials. Garmin-derived activity records, if later stored, will need a published retention and deletion policy before that feature is enabled. We do not intentionally record authorization codes or tokens in application logs; infrastructure security logs and backups may be retained by Cloudflare under its applicable policies.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw Garmin permissions or disconnect OWNAL through Garmin Connect's connected-app settings. OWNAL's in-app connection and disconnection controls must be available before account linking is enabled. To request access, correction, deletion, or export of information held by OWNAL, contact admin@ownalgym.com. We verify that you control the account before responding. Revoking consent stops future authorized access; separately saved records in Garmin remain subject to Garmin's own settings and privacy policy.
Artificial intelligence
Garmin data and information derived from it are not used to train, evaluate, or improve AI models. The Garmin connection service does not send this data to AI providers. No AI processing of Garmin data is enabled. Any proposed supported AI feature would require a policy update, a clear transparency statement and separate, withdrawable consent, and must comply with Garmin's restrictions.
